Alberta was a resident of Savannah, NY for over sixty-years and employed at the local Red and White Grocery Store and IGA Store. She was a member of the Family of God Church, Savannah, NY. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events, was an avid reader, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. In winter, she was frequently found with her husband, Robert, plowing driveways of those in need. She and Robert volunteered and delivered food for "meals on wheels" for many years. In summers, Alberta would be found at the campgrounds surrounded by family and friends.
Survived by sons, Richard (Bonnie), John (Margaret), and David (Mary Lou); daughter, Joyce (James) Bastian; grandchildren; Wendy (Catherine) Sloan, Susan (Lannon) Townsend, Steven (Sara) DeSanto, Gabriel (Samantha) DeSanto, Ahran (James) Panek, Kurt (Jennifer) Bastian, Joseph Sloan, Rachel Sloan; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 2011.
The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic Medical Floor and ICU departments for their kindness and compassionate care provided to their mother during this difficult time.
