Alice T. (Hulby) Kelsey

Alice T. Kelsey, 102, native of Seneca Falls, and longtime resident of Englewood, FL, passed on Monday, June 30th, 2025, peacefully with her family at her side. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd from 10AM – 11AM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls, and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. She will join her first husband, Raymond Kelsey, in eternal rest in St. Columbkille Cemetery.

Alice was born in Seneca Falls, daughter of the late Maynard and Helen (Cleary) Hulby. She grew up in Seneca Falls and graduated from Mynderse Academy. After high school she furthered her studies at Geneseo State College. Alice married Raymond Kelsey, and the couple had 6 children together. Alice primarily was a homemaker, but once the children were older, she also worked for Seneca County Sheriff’s Department as a court attendant.

Alice was always a very sociable person. She enjoyed getting to know people and it was very easy for her to make friends. In her younger years, she was a member of the Mother’s Club at St. Patrick’s Church, and she also bowled in a league at Finger Lakes Bowl.

After the passing of Alice’s first husband, Ray, she was reunited with an old high school friend, George “Bill” Crelley, and they were united in marriage. Alice and Bill moved to Florida in 1991 and enjoyed their time together. Bill passed away in 2013. In 2024 Alice moved back to NY to be closer to family.

Alice is survived by her 3 sons, David, Paul, and Charles (Marie) Kelsey; daughter, Eleanor “Kelly” (Ray) Dolin; grandchildren, Eric, Alison, Brian, Kevin, Joseph, Patrick, Raymond, Kathleen, and Erin; great-grandchildren, Mason, Jackson, Walter, Mitchell, Rita, Peter, Francis, Grace, Charlotte, Jackie, Leland, and Mia; daughter-in-law, Johanna Pipher; Bill Crelley’s children, Roger, Marianne, and Shawn; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents and 2 husbands, Alice was predeceased by her sons, John Kelsey, William Kelsey and his wife Libby; grandson, Tim Kelsey; and brother, William Hulby.
