Seneca Falls - Anthony F. DeStefano, 95, of Troy St., Seneca Falls, passed away at his home on Sunday (September 10, 2017) surrounded by his family. Family and friends may attend Tony's Mass of Christian Burial on Friday (September 15) at 1 PM at St. Patrick's Church with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Francis/St. Clare Parish, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165 Tony was born in Seneca Falls on June 1, 1922 the son of the late Peter & Mary Soscia DeStefano. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as a service clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Seneca Falls. He, also, had worked at Robinette Jewelers in Seneca Falls as a watch repairman and had worked for the former Wick's Lumber of Seneca Falls. Tony was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992, Seneca Falls Knights of Columbus, Council #222, Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion of Seneca Falls, the Cyrus-Garnsey Post #1323 V.F.W. of Seneca Falls, the Disabled American Veterans, & the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He is survived by: 2 daughters - Mary (John) Hilbert - Seneca Falls, NY JoAnn (Reinhard) Ryrko - Seneca Falls, NY 2 sons - Peter (Susan) DeStefano - Seneca Falls, NY Anthony (Mary) DeStefano - Seneca Falls, NY 7 grandchildren - Michael (Bryn) & James (Amy) Hilbert, Megan (Ian) Lawyer, John "JT" & Bethany DeStefano, Anthony (Wendy) & Ryan Peter Ryrko 6 great grandchildren - Sarah, Emma, & Lindy Hilbert, Jaydan, Ryleigh, & Adryana Ryrko 3 Sisters - Florence (Philip) Liberatore - Victor, NY Phyllis Conley - Topeka, Kansas Louise Panthon - California 1 sister-in-law - Ellie DeStefano - Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Annetta DeStefano who died December 20, 2002, 2 sisters, Madeline Maddalena & Rose DeMassi and 2 brothers, Peter & Frank DeStefano.
