Seneca Falls - Anthony J. Schmidt, 49 of Auburn Road, Seneca Falls, NY, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his home. Family and friends are invited to attend Anthony's memorial service on Sunday (May 8th) at 4 pm at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. There will be no prior calling hours. Interment of cremains will take place at a later date. Anthony was born in Utica, NY on February 8, 1967 to Robert Schmidt & Marie (McCutcheon) Schmidt. He loved music and was a big fan of the "Grateful Dead.".He was an avid hunter and had long-term good friends including Joe and Randy Compo and Robin Compo. Anthony returned to the Finger Lakes following a move to Florida, and had been residing in the Seneca Falls/Waterloo area for the past few years. He had been employed as a groundskeeper for the Seneca Falls Country Club before he left the position last year due to health issues. He is survived by: 2 brothers - Kevin (Lisa Hall) Schmidt - Ithaca, NY Hans Schmidt - Ithaca, NY His girlfriend - Kat Acor - Seneca Falls, NY His aunt - Shirley McCutcheon - Waterloo, NY His uncle - Wallace (Kathy) McCutcheon - Waterloo, NY Anthony was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth Schmidt.
