Benny M. Faiola

Seneca Falls - Benny M. Faiola, 92, of Spring St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. A private memorial gathering will be determined at a later date. There will be no prior calling hours. Benny was born in Seneca Falls, NY on December 5, 1925 the son of the late Sylvester & Carolina Faiola. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and had resided in Seneca Falls for most of his life. A baker by trade, Benny worked for the former Calarco Bakery in Seneca Falls and also managed the bakery at the former Super Duper in Seneca Falls. After retirement, he worked part-time for the Seneca Falls Police Department for several years. Benny was a loving husband that adored his family. He had great sense of humor and a passion for food, wine, and the company of others. He is survived by: His wife, Ann Verdi Faiola of Seneca Falls, whom he was married to for 71 years; one daughter - Deborah Faiola - Seneca Falls, NY; two sons - Anthony (Lynda) Faiola - Chicago, IL; Joseph (Lisa) Faiola - Camillus, NY; 5 grandchildren - Jacob (Pamala) Faiola, Michael (Jeana) Faiola, Joseph Faiola, Matthew & Nicholas Faiola; three great grandchildren - Julia & Benjamin Faiola, & Lily Faiola; two sisters - Agnes (Angelo) Bonafiglia - Seneca Falls, NY, Philomena (Wally) Winter - Ohio; two brothers - Louis (Mary Lynn) Faiola - Florida; Sylvester (Elisa) Faiola - Seneca Falls, NY; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Benny was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Southerland and Assunta Turri and three brothers, Anthony, Michael, & Kenneth Faiola.
