Brenda J. (Van Cleef) Egan

Brenda Egan, 80, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Geneva General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Calling Hours will be Friday, September 24th from 4-6PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A Funeral Service, officiated by Father Brad Benson of Trinity Episcopal in Seneca Falls, will immediately follow. Interment, Restvale Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Brenda was born in Seneca Falls, the daughter of the late Aden and Viola (Crane) Van Cleef. She graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1959. After high school she furthered her education to become an LPN. She scored a perfect score on her LPN state boards, a testament to the career that she would become so well known for. She started out in nursing at Willard State Hospital and then at Seneca Falls Hospital where she worked for over 20 years until they closed. She then worked again at Willard State Hospital before taking employment at the ARC in Seneca Falls. She loved being a nurse and helping those in need.

She was a life member at Trinity Episcopal Church. Brenda always enjoyed going to Disney and visiting any chance she could. She also liked I Love Lucy and taking car rides, especially to see the houses that were lit up with Christmas lights. She was a very kind hearted person who enjoyed caring for others.

She is survived by her sons, Sean, Riley (Lynn), Casey (Pamela) Egan; daughter, Suzanne (Adam) Dean; grandchildren, Ronald (Ammie), William (Sara), Alexis, Ireland, Devin, Shane, Brady, Jose, Mason, Evie, Amelia; great-grandchildren, William Jr. and Stanlyn; siblings, Janet Daldry, Louis (Sandy) Van Cleef, Patricia (Raphael) Blevins, Kim Talomie, as well as extended family and friends. She is predeceased by the father of her children, Ronald Egan; sister, Judy Holland, and nephew, Louis A. Van Cleef Jr.
