Bruno Nicolini

Bruno Nicolini, 94, longtime resident of Seneca Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 7th, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 12th, at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 97 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Interment will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery.

Bruno was born in the Italian village of Cerageto on September 25, 1929, son of the late Alvaro and Rosa Nicolini. In 1952, Bruno married the former Susanna Pluretti in Italy and shortly after the couple immigrated to Seneca Falls. Not long after coming to Seneca Falls, Bruno found work at Goulds Pumps in the foundry. He spent his entire working career at Goulds, retiring after 38 years. He was also a longtime member of the SMS Lodge and St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls. Later in life Bruno enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bruno is survived by his wife of 71 years, Susanna; daughter, Adrienne (Michael) Berend; son, James (Melissa) Nicolini; grandchildren, Kevin, Scott (Sarah), Alexandria; great-granddaughter, Rose; sister, Albina Pioli; brother-in-law, Elio Pluretti; sister-in-law, Rita DiPasquale; as well as several nieces and nephews here in the US and in Italy. He was predeceased by his brothers, Nicodemo and Giuseppe; brother-in-law, Vincent DiPasquale; and sister-in-law, Betty Pluretti.
