Penn Yan/Seneca Falls - C. "Scott" Wimmer, 48 of Sherman St., Penn Yan, NY and formerly of Seneca Falls, NY, died Sunday (January 3, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. Scott was born in Seneca Falls, NY on November 19, 1967 the son of Charles D. and Brenda J. Warne Wimmer. He had resided the past 9 years in Penn Yan, NY previously living in Seneca Falls, NY. He had most recently been employed by Rizzo Construction in Auburn, NY. Scott, also, had worked with his father at C.W. & Son Paving Inc. in Auburn, NY. He was a member of Canoga Sportsman's Club in Seneca Falls, NY, the Penn Yan Moose Club, the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992, & Kirk-Casey Post #366 Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed his time snowmobiling, boating, motorcycling, and most of all socializing. He is survived by: His wife, Lisa Gibson Wimmer of Penn Yan, NY whom he married on September 6, 1997 His mother - Brenda (Norman Robinson) Warne - Himrod, NY His father - Charles D. (Lynne) Wimmer - Seneca Falls, NY His maternal grandparents - Earl & Doris Olsowske Warne His mother-in-law - Joan Guthrie - Elmira, NY His father-in-law - Robert Gibson - Penn Yan, NY 2 step-brothers - Quint Putney - Seneca Falls, NY Jason (Tammy) Putney - Denver, CO. His pet cat - "Ola" Scott was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Peter & Hedwig Hainzer Wimmer.
