C. Michael Firendino

C. Michael Firendino, 77, of Seneca Falls, passed away on Saturday, November 4th, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 11th, at 10 AM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Burial will follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his late wife, Karen. Donations in memory may be made to the Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes, 1529 Mound Rd., Seneca Falls, 13148.

Michael was born in Lyons, NY, the son of the late Charles and Mary (Chardeen) Firendino. He graduated from Clyde-Savannah Junior/Senior High School, Class of 1964. Right after high school, he began his career at Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, where he worked for 29 years before retiring as the Stockroom Supervisor. Not one to sit still, Mike took another job at Auburn Correctional Facility as a carpenter, where he worked for another 5 years until he retired again in 2000. On June 26th, 1982, he married Karen Bouffiou, a blessed union of over 33 years. Mike was a very accomplished carpenter and woodworker; his work was second to none and many family and friends still enjoy the furniture pieces he made for them years later. For many years, Mike worked side by side with his brother, Joe, building and woodworking on all different kinds of projects in their spare time.

In Mike's pastime, you would find him rooting on his Baltimore Orioles or the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team. In later years, Mike found great pleasure in looking out over his back deck and watching the birds and wildlife that called the small wooded area, home. Michael is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Salvatore) Franzone; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Jake), Salvatore, Nicolo; great-granddaughters, Jenna and Cecilia; brother, Joseph (Lynn) Firendino; and niece and Goddaughter, Nicole Firendino.
