Corie L. (Fairbanks) Smith

Corie Smith, 39, of Seneca Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 8th, 2023 at Geneva General Hospital. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 from 11AM - 1PM with a service to immediately follow, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. The family invites all to the Celebration of Life following the service at the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992. Corie loved animals so donations in her memory can be directed to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

Corie was born March 9th, 1984 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of James and Judy (Kinnen) Fairbanks. She graduated from Mynderse Academy in 2002 and went on to attain her Associates in Criminal Justice from FLCC. After college, Corie held various jobs around the Seneca Falls area including helping her parents with their lawn business, Jim's Lawnmowing, and providing home health care services.

Corie had a big heart and an amazing zest for life. She loved to paint, travel, fish, root for the Buffalo Bills, ride motorcycles, watch dirt car races with her Dad, and had a huge passion for animals. She loved spending time with her kids and watching them grow.

Corie is survived by her children, Camryn and Quinn Smith; parents, Jim and Judy Fairbanks; brothers, Brett (Lynda) Fairbanks, Joey (Linda) Sliwoski, Brent Ramsey; sisters, Marsha Kinnear and Debbie Herriman; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.
