David Noel Rogers, 91, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, passed on Friday, August 21st, 2026, in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his beloved family. Dave was born in Auburn, NY, son of the late Edwin and Kathleen (Thompson) Rogers, Sr. He grew up in Seneca Falls, graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1953, and St. Bonaventure University, with a bachelor’s degree in 1957. On June 18th, 1955, Dave married the love of his life, Ann (Morehouse) Rogers. The couple were married for over 66 years before Ann’s passing in December of 2021.

Dave began his working career at the family business, Rogers Food Sales where he partnered with his brother Ed, from 1958 until 1980. During that time he co-owned Dave and Dom’s Bar. Alongside his son Jeff and daughter Debbie he owned Romeo’s Bar and Restaurant from 1980 until 1996. This would be where Dave becomes widely known for his St. Patrick Day shenanigans, dressing as a Leprechaun and performing his version of the Irish Jig. Dave’s love for his Irish heritage was always on display and is apparent with his Tipperary Hill connections. During the Romeo years Dave, Deb and Jeff also ran concession stand at The Great NY State Fair called Poor Fool’s. After trying retirement, Dave worked another 20 plus years with Bonadent Dental Laboratories where he was “The Tooth Fairy” and good will ambassador.

In addition to his expansive working career and strong work ethic, fun was always on the menu. Dave was a member of many local, regional and statewide organizations.

His devotion to his church and faith was only bested by his love of family and loyalty to friends. Later in life, text messages became Dave’s way to keep in touch with many people. Whether it was a birthday wish, random message, or an inspirational quote he found online, Dave loved to let you know he was thinking about you.

He’ll be sorely missed for his genuineness, infectious smile, sense of humor, random texts, warm hugs and sloppy kisses.

Dave is survived by his three children, Deborah Anne, Jeffrey David, and Maureen Kathleen; three grandchildren, Justin Rogers (Heather Williams), Brittany Rogers and her husband, AJ Daily, Sydney Rogers and her husband, TJ Radka; special granddaughter; Joelle Carbone; four great-grandchildren, Piper Rogers, Liam Radka, Dawson Radka, and Asher Radka; sisters-in-law, Kathi Rogers and Claire Morehouse; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Dave also leaves behind his close and dear friend, Arkie Paradise, and a whole shit ton of friends from the community and far beyond. In addition to his parents and wife, Dave was predeceased by his sister, Helen Farrell; and brothers, Edwin J. Jr. and James A. Rogers.
