Dolores J. “Ducky” Beaver, 87, of Waterloo, N.Y., passed away on Monday (April 12, 2021) at The
Homestead, Penn Yan, N.Y.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Dolores was born June 3, 1933 in Waterloo N.Y., the daughter of Harvey J. and Dorothy L. (Cooper)
Buck. She married the late Bland M. Beaver on July 11, 1953, and they had been married almost 65 years
at the time of his death on March 7, 2018. Dolores was a child care provider for many years, and loved
the children she took care of like her own, staying in touch with many of them into adulthood. She was
known affectionately as “Aunt Ducky” by both her nieces and nephews, as well as the children she cared
for.
She is survived by son, Scott (Kathy) Beaver of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; daughter, Cindy (David) Dardano of
Bellingham, Washington; grandchildren Kelli (George) Tilton, and Domnick Beaver, Samantha and
Tyler Dardano; great-grandchildren Corrine and Megan Tilton, Domnick and Kayla Rose Beaver,
Braxtyn Girald, Salvatore and Anthony Marcano; sisters Dorothy B. Vogt of Geneva, N.Y. and Audrey R.
Stahlnecker of Lyons, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dolores was predeceased by brothers Lester Buck, Rodney Buck,
Howard Buck; and sister, Marjorie Barry.
