Seneca Falls - Donald A. Verzillo, 82, formerly of Hoag St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Wednesday (November 30, 2016) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Sunday (December 4) from 4 PM to 6 PM. Don's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday (December 5) at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls by Reverend James Fennnessy, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Francis/St. Clare Parish, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165. Born in Seneca Falls, NY on May 13, 1934, Don was the son of the late Frank & Maria (Salinari) Verzillo. He was a life-long resident of Seneca Falls and was retired from Gould's Pumps. A member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, Don served many years as a lector and was a 4th degree member of the Seneca Falls Knights of Columbus, Council #222. He also had been a former member of the National Guard and Seneca Falls Planning. In addition, Don enjoyed several sports. An avid golfer, he had participated in many golfing leagues and belonged to both Seneca Falls Country Club and Silver Creek Golf Club. He had also been a member of various bowling leagues in the area. He is survived by: His wife, Betty Andreas Verzillo of Seneca Falls whom he married on September 4, 1977. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his sister Mary Carissimi and brother Peter Verzillo Don was a beloved husband, brother, and uncle who was always there for his family.
