Dorothy H. Nucci Obituary SENECA FALLS- Dorothy H. Nucci, 93, of Bridge St., Seneca Falls, N.Y., peacefully went into eternal rest on Monday morning (June 26, 2017) at the Leo House in Rochester, NY. Family and friends may attend Dorothy's Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday (June 29) at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. Dorothy was born October 7, 1924 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Vera Knipper (Nicandri) and Edward Stoltz. She found Tony, the love of her life at age 17. Dorothy and her husband Anthony "Tony" Nucci held on to 76 years of wedded bliss. During this time they raised three children and helped to raise many grandchildren. Dorothy was a fun loving person, she loved going to Maine, North Carolina, camping, Bingo, going to the casino, garage sales, and spending time with her family and friends. She could often be found in the kitchen cooking up a feast for Sunday dinner. Dorothy worked at the Seneca Falls School District in the cafeteria. She was a cashier there for thirty three years. She worked there until the age of 83. It was imperative that she stayed in the school district until her grandchildren graduated. She always kept a watchful eye on them. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Anthony "Tony" Nucci; brother Donald Knipper of Florida, sister Geraldine Conklin of Geneva; children, Carol (Peter Rauscher) Hendrickson of Waterloo, NY, Ronald (Anna) Nucci of Waterloo, NY, and Caroline Nucci of Corning, NY; grandchildren Stephanie (Kevin Roloson) Hendrickson, James (Caitlin Kilpatrick) Hendrickson, Ronald (Amber) Nucci Jr., Rhonda (Richard) Tighe, Timothy (Jackie) VanScooter, and April VanScooter; great grandchildren Ashley Tighe, Landon Nucci and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her mother and father, Vera Nicandri and Edward Stoltz and her brother Richard Knipper. A very special thanks to the folks at Rochester General Cardiac Unit, and the staff at The Leo House. Donations in Dorothy's name may be made to the Leo Center for Caring, St. Ann's Foundation, 1500 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621.
