Seneca Falls - Douglas C. Bastian, 69, of Willers Road, Town of Varick, NY, passed away on Tuesday (May 2, 2017) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. A Graveside Service for Doug will be held at Fayette Rural Cemetery, Town of Fayette, NY, at a date and time to be announced. There will be no prior calling hours. It was Doug's request, that if you see any of his children, please give them a hug. Doug was born in Seneca Falls, NY on April 1, 1948 the son of the late Clifford & Virginia Wood Bastian. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was retired from the former Seneca Army Depot. Doug was a Civil War Aficionado. He enjoyed taking care of his home property and looking after, "His Boys", which were his 2 dogs, Oliver & Teddy. He is survived by: His wife, Dolores Dinsmore of Seneca Falls whom he married on November 10, 1984. 2 daughters - Virginia (Christopher) Kempf - Interlaken, NY Shelby Bastian - Seneca Falls, NY 2 sons - Craig Bastian - Mt. Morris, NY Casey (Cari Dresser) Bastian - W.
