E. “Bucky” Knowlton III, 62, of Waterloo, unexpectedly passed at his home on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. All services are private, held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial trees in Bucky’s memory can be ordered here.
Bucky was born in Waterloo, to the late Ernest and Patricia (Altemari) Knowlton. He worked for various construction companies in the area, most recently retiring from Marcy Construction this year. He had vast knowledge of working with heavy equipment and was well known in the field for his expertise. Though Bucky was well known and well-liked by many, he was a private man who enjoyed reading, collecting sports cards, and spending time with those that meant the most to him. He was especially close to his mother and uncle, who both passed before him. He was also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bucky is survived by his sisters, Colleen (Carmen) Aiezza, Cindy (Jim) Howell, Cathy (Scott) Johnson, Maria (Tony) Manzari; brother, Scott Knowlton; aunt, Roberta (Dick) Schweitz, several nieces and nephews; great nieces, Lea, Ellie, and Lency (Evangeline); extended family and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his uncle and best friend, Rich Altemari, in 2022.
