Edward A. "Buddy" Healy, Jr., 74, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, passed away after a brief illness, on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at Geneva General Hospital with his siblings by his side. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 11 AM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Burial will follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Ed was born in Munich, Germany, the son of the late Edward and Helen (Boyle) Healy, Sr. Ed was raised in Seneca Falls and graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1967. He worked for Goulds Pumps for many years and retired after a career spanning several decades. He was a social member of the SMS, auxiliary member of the Cyrus Garnsey VFW Post 1323, member of the Sons of the American Legion through Kirk Casey American Legion Post 366, and member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Auburn.
Ed lived a good life and enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends. He will be missed by his family and friends alike. He loved to golf and has owned several Corvettes over the years. You could always count on Ed for a good conversation over a cold beer.
Ed is survived by his brother, John of Seneca Falls; sisters, Mary Healy of Seneca Falls and Christine McGuane of Marcellus; niece, Molly McGuane; nephew, Patrick McGuane; as well as many close friends. Ed was predeceased by his father, Edward Sr. in 2014; mother, Helen (Boyle) in 2000; brother, Patrick in 1982, and sisters, Eileen Healy in 2013 and Maureen Healy in 2011.
