Erin A. Kelsey, 46, of Seneca Falls, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, June 14th, 2026, at the Ontario Center in Canandaigua. Erin, known for her private but generous nature, will be honored by her family with a private graveside service.

Erin’s family would like to thank the caring staff at Lakeview Health Services for being a special part of her life. If you wish to make a donation in memory of Erin, please consider donating to Lakeview Health Services, 600 West Washington St, Geneva, NY 14456.

Erin was born in Buffalo, NY, daughter of Johanna (Moore) Kelsey Pipher and the late John Kelsey. She grew up in Seneca Falls, where she graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1997, and went on to further her education at Finger Lakes Community College. Her entire life she had an excellent work ethic and liked to stay busy.

From an early age, Erin had a unique outlook on life, and she viewed the world in her own way. A very kind and generous person, she always strived to make things better for those around her. Erin was what you would call an introverted extrovert. She was outgoing, boisterous, and eager to share with her closest family and friends but kept her social circle small so as to hold those relationships close to her heart.

Erin was a voracious reader, who never came across a book she didn’t want to read. It didn’t matter if it was a simple read or a literary classic, Erin would read it with the same open mind and desire to learn from the ink on the pages. She also enjoyed writing her own poetry and expressing herself through words.

Compassionate and self-sacrificing to a fault, Erin, even on her most difficult days, was concerned only about the well being of her family and friends. Her generous nature and desire to care for others will be greatly missed.

Erin is survived by her mother and stepfather, Johanna and Timothy Pipher; brother, Raymond Kelsey and his wife, Sylvia; sister, Kathleen Sinicropi and her husband, James, and their daughter, Jacqueline Sinicropi; stepbrother, Zachary Pipher and his wife, Bridgette; step-sister, Mirandia Pipher and her spouse, Brian Jury, and their children, Riley, Oliver, and Bayleigh; aunts and uncles, Charles and Marie Kelsey, David Kelsey, Paul Kelsey, Eleanor and Dr. Raphael Dolin; as well as several cousins and extended family. In addition to her father, John, Erin was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Alice Kelsey; maternal grandmother, Millicent Moore; step-grandparents, Robert and Judith Pipher; nephew, Frank James Sinicropi; aunt and uncle, Libby and William Kelsey; and cousin, Timothy Kelsey.
