Flora C (Calarco) Pizzimenti

Flora Calarco Pizzimenti, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully, lovingly surrounded by her "little" family on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Flora was born on July 3, 1921 to Joseph and Frances (Corigliano) Calarco, the youngest of four children, including her brothers Philaberto, Fausto, and Anthony. Flora married William Pizzimenti and moved to Ridgewood, NJ before returning home to Seneca Falls later in her life. In addition to her parents, Flora was predeceased by her brothers and her husband. Flora loved her hometown of Seneca Falls. As a girl, she worked beside her father in Calarco's Grocery on Ovid Street. Later, Flora taught Kindergarten at St. Patrick's Catholic School for many years. Her biggest accomplishment in life was being a devoted full time mother as well as caregiver to her own mother. Flora is survived by her only child, a daughter, Mary-Frances, who she unconditionally adored, and her beloved son (in-law) Mark Garber, and her three cherished granddaughters, Olivia, Claudia and Emma. Graveside services for Flora, at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, will be held on Tuesday (February 20) at 11:30 AM with Reverend Michael Merritt of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, officiating.
