The family of Floyd E. Siegfried regretfully announces his peaceful passing on March 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Floyd was born in Auburn, NY on January 19, 1944, the son of the late Donald and Florence (Lent) Siegfried. He resided most of his life in Seneca Falls, NY. He attended Mynderse Academy and was an avid wrestler throughout high school. Floyd joined the Marine Corps and honorably served his country from 1962-1966. He attended Woodbury University, under the GI Bill, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting.

Floyd worked as an auditor for the U.S. government at Seneca Army Depot, retiring after 20 years of federal service. After his government retirement, he worked for Stanley and Associates as a project manager overseeing operations in England, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait.

Floyd was a quiet and loving man. He was a dedicated husband and family man. He took great pride in watching his two sons and then his two granddaughters and three grandsons play soccer and wrestle. Always giving back to the community, Floyd was a major contributor to initiating and operating the Cayuga Lake State Park Winterfest for many years. He loved coaching youth athletes in sports such as flag football, baseball, and soccer through the Seneca Falls Recreation Center.

He was an avid golfer prior to his illness, loved to travel, and always rooted for the New York Yankees, Syracuse Basketball, and New York Giants. He loved working on cars, and with wood in remodeling his homes over the years. He was known as a great lover of his pet boxer dogs.

In addition to his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his brother, Charles. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara; sons, Scott (Onanong) of South Carolina and Stephen (Shelia) of Japan; five grandchildren, Marissa, Joshua, Piyanat, Skylar and Andrew; sister, Linda Shultz of Maine, and several nephews and nieces.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, Floyd's family requests memorial donations may be made in Floyd's name to the Mynderse Wrestling Booster Club, Seneca Falls Central School District, 2 Butler Avenue, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A reception to immediately follow at Ciccino's Restaurant, 22 E. Main Street, Waterloo.
