Seneca Falls - Francesco "Frank" Rivezzi, 87, of Rumsey St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (May 30, 2018) at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St, Seneca Falls, NY on Friday (June 1) from 4 PM to 7 PM. Frank's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (June 2) at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. Frank, also known as "Ciccio," was born in Giano Vetusto, Italy, on February 6, 1931. He was the son of the late Gaetano and Maria Rosa Migliozzi Rivezzi. He came to Seneca Falls at the age of 19 and later became the devoted husband of Irma Rivezzi for 51 years. He retired as a foundry moulder from Gould's Pumps of Seneca Falls after 43 years of dedicated service. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Rumseyville Sportsmen's Club & the S.M.S. all of Seneca Falls. Frank loved to garden and was especially proud of his garlic, pears, and grapes which he used for homemade wine. He was lovingly known as "Poppa" and his greatest joys were his grandchildren & great grandchildren. He is survived by: 4 daughters - Rosemaria Rivezzi & her husband, David Trithart of Potsdam, NY Joanne Rivezzi Hardy of Hockessin,DE Linda Brusso & her husband, Thomas Brusso of Rochester, NY Delia Esce & her husband, Joe Esce of Liverpool, NY 9 grandchildren - Stephen (Teresa) Hardy, Elizabeth (Eric) Gauthier, Alexander (Natasha) Hardy, Albert (Douglas Umana) Trithart, William (Sarah) Trithart, Deziree Brusso, and Antoinette, Francesca, and Joey Esce. 3 great grandchildren - Giovanna Hardy, Annabelle Hardy, & Alice Trithart 2 sisters - Maria (Vincent) Cuccari - Seneca Falls, NY Rosa (Mimi) Cammuso - Giano Vetusto,Italy Several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife, Irma Saccone Rivezzi who died on October 30, 2006; three brothers, Rocco, Giuseppe, and Gildo Rivezzi; and one sister, Anna Rivezzi.
