Franklin R. Ransom

Seneca Falls - Franklin R. Ransom, 84, passed away Saturday (July 8, 2017) at his residence. There will be no prior calling hours. The Funeral and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Franklin was born in Vails Gate, New York on December 27, 1932, son of the late Earl and Maude Cole Ransom. Frank grew up in Newburgh, New York, and moved to Seneca Falls in 2012 to reside with his daughter and family. He played cards, and enjoyed the scratch off lottery tickets, and enjoyed working on the word find books. Through the years, he enjoyed collecting and playing with his model trains. He was an over the road truck driver, for many years and retired from Whalens Moving and Storage, Inc. in Newburgh, New York. He is survived by: 1 - Daughter - Marianne (Dale) Southwell - Seneca Falls, NY 1 - Sister - Ethel Bentley - Waverly, PA 2 - Grandchildren - Richard Southwell and Shanon Clink 3 - Step Grandchildren - Anthony and Dahlia Southwell and Christopher Trosclair 5 - Great Grandchildren Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife, Betty Ann Ranson who passed away in 1996.
