Town of Varick - Gary A. "Joey" Slack, 61, of Yale Station Road, Geneva, NY, died Saturday (April 9, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Family and friends may attend a graveside service for Gary on Saturday (April 16) at 11:30 AM at Lake View Cemetery, Interlaken, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. Gary was born in Seneca Falls, NY on November 5, 1954 the son of the late George & Wanda Beardslee Slack. He was a life long resident of South Seneca County. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and just being out in nature. He, also, enjoyed talking on his CB & ham radios to people near and far. He is survived by: 2 daughters - Kassandra Slack and her husband, Jordan Amendt - Austin, TX. Courtney Slack - Romulus, NY 1 son - Dylan Slack - Romulus, NY 2 sisters - Linda (Michael) Mautz - W. Monroe, NY Carol Ann Snyder and her husband, Barry Holmgreen - Murray, KY. 1 brother - Glen Slack - Texas Several nieces and nephews His true friend - Todd Rodman In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his son, Gregory Slack in 2009, his daughter, Elizabeth Slack in 1986, & his brother, George Slack in 1969.
