Gena (Lorenzetti) Kabat

Seneca Falls - Gena Kabat, 93, formerly of Fall St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday (December 21, 2017) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY. Family and friends may attend Gena's Memorial Mass on Saturday (January 6, 2018) at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Huntington Living Center, 369 E. Main St., Waterloo, NY 13165 Gena was born in Italy on April 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Ernest & Ambrosina Pluretti Lorenzetti. She had resided most of her life in Seneca Falls and was a graduate of S.U.N.Y. at Canton with an Associates Degree in Home Economics. She retired in 1979 from Newark Developmental Center, Newark, NY. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. Gena was an avid bowler & golfer. She also enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting. Gena and her late husband, Harry, spent their winters in Sebring, Florida where they lived on a golf course, thus, allowing them many rounds of golf. Gena is survived by: 3 sons - David (Caterina) Kabat - Las Vegas, Nevada Kevin (Patricia) Kabat - Santa Rosa Beach, Florida Kenneth (Josie) Kabat - Seneca Falls, NY 10 grandchildren - Joshua (Carrie) Kabat, Derrick & John Kingston, Major Matthew (Cassie) Kabat, Jennifer (Danny) Kabat-Johnston & Stephanie (Eric) Kabat-Meade, Ryan (Jenn) Kabat and Jacklyn, Jesse & Troy Kabat. Her great grandchildren - Connor & Patrick Kabat, Sophie & Sloan Johnston & Harper Kabat 1 sister - Anna Marie Wilkes - Seneca Falls, NY 1 brother - Louis Lorenzetti - Seneca Falls, NY Several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, Gena was predeceased by her husband, Harry E. Kabat, who died September 15, 2002, 1 sister, Sylvia Moio, 1 brother, Carlo Lorenzetti.
