Gladys I (Vaughn) Nucci

Waterloo - Gladys I. Nucci, 77 of Amherst Rd., Waterloo, NY, passed away Monday (March 9, 2015) at her residence surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY on Sunday (March 15) from 2 to 4 PM followed by a funeral service at 4 PM at the funeral home with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Mary's Church, Waterloo, NY, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY. If desired, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care (Hospice), Newark Plaza, 800 W. Miller St., Newark, NY 14513. Gladys was born in Ovid, NY on October 24, 1937 the daughter of the late Stanley L. & Josephine Hancy Vaughn Sr.. She had resided in Waterloo, NY since 1960 moving there from Ovid, NY. She was retired from the former Willard Psychiatric Center, Willard, NY. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Waterloo, NY and a member of the social ministry of St. Francis/St. Clare Parish. She was a former member of the St. Mary's Altar Society and a current member of the Lions Club of Waterloo, NY. Gladys enjoyed bowling, playing Bocce and camping. Most of all, she enjoyed her time with family and friends. She is survived by: 3 sons - Samuel Nucci - Waterloo, NY Anthony "John" Nucci - Seneca Falls, NY Ricardo Nucci - Zephyrhills, Florida 4 grandchildren - Ashlie (Matthew) VanDoren, Joe, Cassandra, & Dominic Nucci 2 great grandchildren - Gianna & Darin VanDoren 5 sisters - Clara Ann (Samuel) Cuffe - Seneca Falls, NY Luella Morgan - Tennesee Lois (Kenneth) Rebenolt - Newark, NY Joan Bisbee - Seneca Falls, NY Carol Bond - Lodi, NY 1 brother - Herbert (Mary) Vaughn - Lyons, NY Several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Anthony D.
