Seneca Falls - Harry Pettingill Jr., 93, of Lake Road, Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday (February 14, 2018) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Funeral services and burial in Springbrook Cemetery, Seneca Falls, will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. Harry was born in Waterloo, NY on August 8, 1924 the son of the late Harry & Margaret Brown Pettingill Sr.. He was a life resident of the Waterloo/Seneca Falls area and a graduate of Waterloo High School and & the class Salutatorian. He was a dairy farmer for over 40 years in Waterloo. He later established the Lake Country Farms Real Estate in Seneca Falls where he specialized in the sale of farms. Harry loved to work on Genealogy to the point he would say that "he had a doctorate in Genealogy". In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and skiing and many other outdoor activities. He is survived by: 1 son - Michael (Teonna) Pettingill - Seneca Falls, NY His grandchildren - Hunter Rene', Craig, & Logan Pettingill 1 brother - John Pettingill - Waterloo, NY His step-grandchildren - Stephanie (Justin Shultes) Smida, Tawnee Smida, & Naomi Bloomingdale. 8 step great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his wife, Helen Pettingill, his brother, George Pettingill, & his daughter-in-law, Cinnamon Pettingill.
