Waterloo - Jack L. Robyn, 83, of Church St., Waterloo, NY passed away peacefully on Friday (November 16, 2018) at his home amongst his loving family following a long battle with cancer.

A private celebration of Jack's life and the laughter he shared will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours.

Jack was born near Downsville, NY on February 19, 1935 the son of the late Earnest & Ethel Robyn Mills, his biological parents, and Lauren & Mary Wheatley Robyn, his adoptive parents who adopted Jack when his parents died before he was 10. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had resided in Waterloo for the past year after moving from Lima, NY. He had most recently been employed at the Livingston County D.E.C. and had found peace through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Canandaigua, NY. He was an accomplished musician who was a member of various bands that played in the Finger Lakes area. He had played the keyboard, guitar and sang vocals in the bands he belonged to and his love of music is one he passed lovingly on to his children. In his time, Jack had also built two homes with his own hands and with help from friends. He liked to golf, fish, and garden and especially enjoyed a good game of poker. Jack's kindness and willingness to help others endeared him to many. He is survived by: his daughter Jodie (Ed Bernabei) Robyn of Webster, NY, his son, Lynn Robyn of Waterloo, NY, 5 grandchildren, Hope Tomaselli, Alexandria Robyn, &Chavez, Devon (Amanda), & Brendon Monteiro, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his daughter, Stephanie Robyn, and his granddaughter, Aponie Robyn. Special thanks go out to staff at the Wilmot Cancer Center and Thompson Hospital who cared for and supported Jack through his illness.

Those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there's a memory they live in our hearts to stay.
