Seneca Falls - James E. Langston, 85 of Garden St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully, Tuesday (August 2, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Palisades Presbyterian Church, Palisades, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, the family has requested that donations be made in memory of Jim to: ECLC Foundation, 100 Passaic Ave., Chatham, NJ 07928 in the name of his grandson, Ryan Langston. This foundation supports the education of Jim's grandson, Ryan and children with Down Syndrome and other cognitive impairments. Jim was born in Newark, Ohio on August 20, 1930 the son of the late James O. & Gladys Lytle Langston. He had resided in Seneca Falls since 1994, coming from Secaucus, NY. A former member of the National Guard, he was retired from Walsh Trucking in N. Bergen, NJ and had been former president of Benton & Holden Allied Van Lines Moving & Storage, Elizabeth, NJ. Jim also worked for O.T.B. in Seneca Falls. He was a dedicated and much-loved family man who cherished his times with his children & grandchildren. Jim is survived by three children and their spouses, Angela (James Kimak) Langston of Orangeburg, NY; Janet (Ed) Sanchez of Scottsdale, AZ; James E. (Amanda) Langston of Garwood, NJ His love of 40 years, Dawn E. Murphy of Seneca Falls, NY His six grandchildren: Jamie and Sam Kimak, Katrina and Celine Sanchez, Ian and Ryan Langston His four stepchildren: Deidre Abbotts of Westport, CT; Megan Murphy of Virginia Beach, VA. W. Brian (Karen) Murphy of Virginia Beach, VA; Ardath (Tom) Hering of Secaucus, NY His six step-grandchildren: Adam Koffman, Adelaid, & Samantha Coles, Thomas & Tyler Hering, & Morgan Abbotts In addition to his parents, Jim was pre-deceased by his siblings Barbara Langston and Harry Langston Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY.
