Joann K (Keeler) Converse

Seneca Falls - Joann K. Converse, 85, passed away on Saturday (August 18, 2018) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, (August 25, 2018), at 2:00 PM, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY, with Reverend Stephen Beals, pastor of West Fayette Church in Fayette, NY officiating. If desired, contributions may be made to Fetch A Friend Rescue, 92 Garden St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Joann was born in Fulton NY on April 14, 1933, the daughter of the late James and Florence Keeler. She resided in Seneca Falls most of her life. She worked in the medical field first for Dr. Jack Hubbard, then many years at Geneva Medical Associates, then retired from the Diagnostic Clinic in Clearwater, Fla. Joann and her Husband moved to Largo, Fla in June of 1980, where they lived for 20 years until moving to Thorn Hill, TN in 2000. They relocated back to Seneca Falls due to her husband's illness in May 2008 where she stayed after his death. She is a former member of Red Jacket Yacht Club; the Seneca Falls Country Club; BPOE Elks Pinellas Park; a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Seneca Falls, and the knitting club at The Seneca Falls Library. Joann is survived by: 2 - Sons - Jeffrey (Pam) Converse, LaQuinta, Calif James Converse, Dawsonville, Georgia 1 - Daughter - Adele (Stephen) Hughes, Seneca Falls, NY 1 - Sister - Alois Bobbe, Webster, NY 2 Grandchildren - Matthew (Sarah) Hughes and Jamie Hughes Besides her parents, Joann was predeceased by her husband, Harold Alan Converse who died May 16, 2008 Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls Please consider leaving a condolence or lighting a candle in memory of Joann at: doranfuneralhome.com
