Joanne (Errico) McHale

SENECA FALLS - Joanne Errico McHale, 74, passed away peacefully Saturday (September 2, 2023) at Geneva General Hospital. There will be no public service or calling hours, per her wishes.

Joanne was born August 23, 1949, in Seneca Falls, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Errico. She married Bill in 1973; they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Joanne and Bill moved to Old Mill Road in Flint, NY, where they raised their family. They later moved to their Cayuga Lake home, creating new memories with their five grandchildren.

Joanne was an excellent organizer and worked a variety of medical office jobs in her early career. She spent the majority of her working years as an Ontario County employee, standing alongside co-workers who then became lifelong friends. Joanne was a member of St. Stephen's Church in Geneva and later St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls.

She is survived by her husband, William McHale of Seneca Falls; three children, Christen (Michael) Smith, Mary (Jeffery) Woodruff, Joseph (Jennifer) McHale; five grandchildren, Quentin, Carson, Graham, Sarah and Clara; one sister, Kathy (Don) House; brothers-in-law, Ken McHale and Richard McHale and sister-in-law Kathy McHale; along with nieces and nephew, Anne, Beth, Carrie, Shannon, Caitlyn, Kaycie and Paul.

She also had a special group of high school and childhood girlfriends who surrounded her with love.
