Seneca Falls - John J. "Jack" Fitzgerald, 76, of Joanne Ave., Seneca Falls, NY, died Wednesday (January 16, 2013) at Auburn Community Hospital, Auburn, NY. Family and friends may attend Jack's Memorial Mass on Saturday (January 19) at 1:30 PM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, NY with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at the privacy of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to A.L.S. Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY Jack was born in Buffalo, NY on September 4, 1936 the son of the late Maurice & Loretta McHugh Fitzgerald. He had resided in Seneca Falls since 1987 moving from Auburn, NY. He was retired from New York State Electric and Gas where he was an electric manager. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls and a member of the Quarter Century Club of NYSEG. He was a former member of the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce and also had served as its president. He was a former member of the Seneca Falls Rotary Club and a former member and past president of the Auburn Rotary Club. He, also, was a former member of Highland Country Club of Auburn. He is survived by: His wife, Joyce Secaur Fitzgerald of Seneca Falls whom he married on April 2, 1983 6 daughters - Kim (John) Mannino - Rockaway, NY Patricia (Vincent) Rafferty - Conklin, NY Audrey (David) Thomas - Long Island, NY Maureen Shaw - Auburn, NY Tina (Brian Passarello) DeChick - Auburn, NY Tammi (Nathan) Peone - Seneca Falls, NY 1 son - Mark (Elissa) DeChick - Fairport, NY 11 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren 1 sister - Dolores Fitzgerald - Seneca Falls, NY Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by a son, Roger Fitzgerald who died in 1958 and a brother, James Fitzgerald who died in 1992.
