Rome, NY/Mukwonago, WI. - John E. Pekarski, 59, of Mukwonago, WI., formerly of Rome, NY, passed away on Wednesday (August 22, 2018) at his residence in Mukwonago, WI. John was born in Rome, NY on August 15, 1959, the son of James & Maureen Kelly Pekarski. He was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, class of 1977. He then attended the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music in 1981. John was an accomplished Bassoonist who, while attending Crane School of Music, played in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid NY. He later attended Michigan State University where he earned his Master's Degree in Music in1985. John worked most of his life in the window industry in the Milwaukee, WI. area as a sales representative. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, as well as a Michigan State Football and Basketball fan. He will be longed remembered at his favorite bowling alley and the American Legion where he met his friends to watch the games in Mukwonago,WI. He is survived by:

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends including his longtime friend, Steve Wojdyla Family and friends may attend John's Memorial Mass on Saturday (November 3, 2018) at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Church, Rome, NY with Reverend Phillip Hearn, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Rome, NY.
