Seneca Falls - John Soscia Jr., 85 of Garden St, Seneca Falls, NY, died, unexpectedly, Wednesday (April 29, 2015) while fishing in Inland Harbor, Waterloo, NY. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY on Sunday (May 3) from 2 to 4 PM. John's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (May 4) at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, NY by Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Francis/St. Clare Parish, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165. John was born in Seneca Falls, NY on August 5, 1929 the son of the late John & Theresa Cicellino Soscia Sr. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Gould's Pumps of Seneca Falls. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. John loved to fish and hunt especially fishing with his good fishing buddy, Gary Porter of Geneva, NY. He is survived by: 2 daughters - Pamela McDermott - Seneca Falls, NY Patricia Dishaw - Seneca Falls, NY 4 sons - Ricky Soscia - Seneca Falls, NY Charles (Susan) Soscia - Liverpool, NY Jeffrey Soscia - Seneca Falls, NY Daryl Soscia - Geneva, NY His long-time companion - Anna Williams - Geneva, NY His grandchildren, Joseph & Marianna Soscia, Alysia Bianchi, Stephanie Ellis, Shelly Wilcox, Samantha Wilcox, & Daniel Dishaw and several great grandchildren 3 sisters - Rose Melton - Seneca Falls, NY Nancy Varone - Waterloo, NY Marjorie Sexton - Florida 1 brother - Peter (Lonnie) Soscia - Seneca Falls, NY Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Soscia who died March 12, 1994, a daughter, Beverly Ann Soscia, a stepson, Samuel Salone, & a brother, Louis Soscia Please visit: doranfuneralhome.com
