Seneca Falls - Joseph J. Gleason, 97, of Adams St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Wednesday (November 14, 2012) at Clifton Springs Hospital, Clifton Springs, NY. Family and friends may attend Joe's Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (November 17) at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, c/o St. Patrick's Church Office, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls,NY Joe was born in Little Falls, NY on September 17, 1915 the son of the late Joseph & Josefa Bachta Gleason. He had resided in Seneca Falls for most of his life and was retired from General Electric where he was a Tool & Die Maker. He, also, had owned and operated the former Miniature Tools Inc. of Seneca Falls. He had served in the Merchant Marines in 1945. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. He is survived by: His son, Dr. Joseph A. (Lee Ann) Gleason - Penfield, NY 2 grandchildren - Diana (Christopher) Alvaro & Edward Gleason 3 great grandchildren - Nathan, Emily, & Julia Alvaro 1 sister - Theresa (Thomas) Fornesi - Grand Blanc, Michigan 1 brother - Harry (Mae) Gleason - Romulus, NY In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his wife, Eva Gleason who died April 12, 2006, his daughter, Geraldine Gleason who died in 1964, & 1 brother, George Gleason Please visit: doranfuneralhome.com
