Seneca Falls - Josephine "Zia" Rossetti, 99 of Center St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday (March 19, 2017) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Family and friends may attend Josephine's Memorial Mass on Saturday (April 1) at 11 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. Josephine was born in Seneca Falls on January 26, 1918 the daughter of the late Anthony & Dolinda Vergamini Rossetti. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was retired from the former Seneca Knitting Mill of Seneca Falls where she had worked for 46 years. She was a devoted communicate of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. Josephine was a member of the S.M.S. Auxiliary, and the oldest member of the Catholic Daughters of America, both of Seneca Falls. She loved her Bocce game and played for the S.M.S. Women's Bocce till she was 87 years old. When not enjoying her game of Bocce, Josephine loved to shop, go for a drive, or just play cards. Josephine truly loved everyone. She is survived by: 1 niece - Kim (Paul) Patterson - Webster, NY 1 nephew - Michael (Patty D'Amato) Rossetti - Seneca Falls, NY In addition to her parents, Josephine was predeceased by 2 brothers, Ferdinand who was awarded the Purple Heart after he was killed in action during World War II and Louis "Lack" Rossetti and his wife, Rita Rossetti, & 1 sister, Angelina Rossetti.
