Seneca Falls - Josephine V. Zona, 92, formerly of Walnut St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Wednesday (October 9, 2013) at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center, Brockport, NY. A Memorial Mass for Josephine will be celebrated on Saturday (October 12) at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, by Reverend Roy Kiggins. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 Josephine was born in McKeesport, PA. on March 19, 1921 the daughter of the late Santo & Santa Polimeni Romeo. She had resided in Seneca Falls for most of her life and had been employed by Crayton Drugs of Seneca Falls. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. Josephine had been a member of the Rumseyville, Sportman's Club of Seneca Falls and she was a woman who enjoyed gardening, sewing,shopping, traveling, but of most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by: 3 daughters - Sandra (Timothy) Fogarty - Clayton, California Louise (James) Kelts - Lupton, Michigan Linda Zona - Waterloo, NY 2 sons - Frank (Marge) Zona - Holley, NY Robert Zona - Rochester, NY 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren 1 sister - Jean Romeo - Arizona Several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Zona who died May 18, 1992, 2 brothers, Rocco & Antonio Romeo, & 3 sisters, Rose Wink, Mel Dimartino, and Antoinette Orlando.
