Katherine J "Kate" (Klue) Hathaway

Seneca Falls - Katherine "Kate" J. Hathaway, 52, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (April 18, 2015), at House of John in Clifton Springs, NY. There will be no prior calling hours, and burial will be at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Kate's name to: Clifton Springs Hospital Foundation, 2 Coulter Rd., Suite 2615, Clifton Springs, New York 14432 Kate was born in Geneva, NY on March 16, 1963, the daughter of Charles Klue, and Janice (Ryder) Kobusch. She lived in California, and then moved to Waterloo, NY in her sophomore year of high school and has resided in the area since. Kate was employed by Seneca Falls Central School System, and was the Head of the Cafeteria Department. Kate enjoyed using her artistic talents to create a colorful bulletin board each month at Cady Stanton School, which brightened the halls for students and teachers alike. With her creative talents, Kate enjoyed painting. Her paintings were well sought out in the area and many are on display in her home. She also won several awards for her work including "Best in Show" of the Trinity Church in Seneca Falls, NY. Among other interests, Kate enjoyed gardening, bird watching, camping, cooking for friends and family, and baking some of the finest baked goods around. In her former years, she was also a beautician, and enjoyed making others feel and look their best. She also loved attending her son's lacrosse games and spending time with her family. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Ignaczak and his kindhearted staff at Clifton Springs Cancer Center for their care and compassion.
