It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Zona, 77, of Seneca Falls announce her passing on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. A private graveside service for both Linda, and her late brother Robert, who predeceased her by only a few weeks, will be held at the convenience of the family.

She was born in Seneca Falls, the second youngest of four siblings to the late, Albert Zona and Josephine (Romeo) Zona. Linda is survived by her sister, Sandra Fogarty of Sun Lakes, Arizona; brother, Frank (Marge) Zona of Holly Springs, North Carolina; twin sister, Louise (James) Kelts of Lupton, Michigan; several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Mary Phillips and Lyle Young of Waterloo.

Linda had an enormous heart for animals. Over the years, Linda had numerous dogs and even a parrot that traveled with her from Michigan to New York (which was an experience, especially crossing the Canadian border). Linda was a very special sister who loved her family and many friends and always had a smile on her face even at difficult times. She will be sorely missed but always in our thoughts. The family extends their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary nurses, aides, and staff at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, for the compassionate care, kindness, and comfort they provided Linda during her extended stay at Huntington.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, Robert, who recently passed away on August 4, 2026; and longtime companion, Robert Schell.
