Seneca Falls - Lloyd C. Burgess, 95, formerly of E. Bayard St. Extension, Seneca Falls, NY, died Tuesday (May 21, 2013) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY. Funeral services and burial in Restvale Cemetery, Seneca Falls, will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, River Road, Waterloo, NY 13165. Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY. Lloyd was born in Waterloo, NY on February 20, 1918 the son of the late Gordon & Georgianna Culver Burgess. He was a life resident of the Seneca Falls-Waterloo area and was a retired, self-employed- contractor. Lloyd was a hard working man who enjoyed driving his pick-up all around the area. He and his late wife, Loretta, had been known to take long distance drives for lunch and then back home. Lloyd enjoyed having Coffee with his friends at Connie's Diner and the Magee Diner. He had been involved in the civil defense back in the 1950's. He is survived by: 2 daughters - Beverly (Robert) Good - Waterloo, NY Betty June (Neal) Sanders - Medfield, MA. 1 son - Gordon L. (Joan) Burgess - Seneca Falls, NY 5 grandchildren - Adrienne (James) Gustafson, Gregory (Tina) Burgess, Timothy (Susan) Burgess, Deborah Good, & Laurie (Patrick) Hawley 7 Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his wife, Loretta Mitchell Burgess who died December 8, 2003, 2 sisters, Eleanor Whitaker & Cecile Leonard, and 1 brother, Howard Burgess.
