Luann Coughlin

Luann Coughlin, 67, of Waterloo, passed on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at Highland Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 20th from 9:30AM – 11:30AM, with a funeral service to follow, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. All in attendance are asked to wear Luann’s favorite color, green. Donations in memory may be directed to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, PO Box 50798, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32240.

Luann was born in Waterloo, NY, daughter of the late John and Betty (Post) Coughlin. She was a lifelong Waterloo resident and member of St. Mary’s Church. She had worked for many years at both Seneca Nursing Home and Huntington Nursing Home as an aide, and most recently had retired from Walmart where she worked for years as a dressing room attendant.

Luann had a zest for life, and found joy in spending time with her daughter, Kalan. She had a great love of music, especially the Beatles, the Bee Gees, and most all disco music of the 1970’s. Her other interests included following her brother Tom’s football career, and she loved to watch women’s soccer.

Luann is survived by her daughter, Kalan; sisters, Carole (Robert) Kingston, Patricia Reed, Christine (Gabriel) Cohn; brother, Thomas Coughlin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, John Coughlin, and sister, Kathleen Troutman.

Luann’s family would like to extend a very heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff in the ICU at Highland Hospital for their exceptional and comforting care of Luann during this difficult time.
