Lyle C. Adler, born on June 18th, 1958, grew up and spent his life in Waterloo, New York. He passed away unexpectedly on November 1st, 2026, at Geneva General Hospital.

Lyle was born to the late Walter and Ella (Uttke) Adler. He graduated from Waterloo Central School, Class of 1976, and furthered his education at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where he received a BS in accounting. Over the years, Lyle worked for several regional companies, primarily as either an accountant or a controller. In addition, Lyle was a CPA who liked to help family and friends with their taxes and also enjoyed the challenge of taking on some corporate taxes from time to time.

Lyle was known for his generosity, sarcasm, and quick wit. He had a personality all his own and wasn’t one to mince words. A man known for his love of water parks, he never turned down a chance to hang in the wave pool or take a leisurely float down the lazy river. He enjoyed history documentaries, spreadsheets, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was incredibly giving and would do just about anything for his family.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 46 years, Tina Adler; children, Kristin Adler, Brian Adler and his wife, Kristyn, Stephanie Richardson and her husband, Andy, and Kevin Adler and his wife, Chelsea. He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren, Noah and Collin St. Amand, Theodore Adler, Silas and Austin Richardson, Paislee Garcia and Arden Adler. Lyle was also looking forward to the upcoming arrival of another granddaughter, daughter of Brian and Kristyn. He is also survived by his brother, Randy Adler, and his wife, Anne.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ella and Walter Adler, and his sister, Karen Hoven.

Lyle will be remembered for his sharp wit, generous nature, and unmistakable personality. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 8th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Doran Funeral Home in Seneca Falls. His funeral service, officiated by Pastor David Schultz of the Waterloo Calvary Lutheran Church, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9th at Doran Funeral Home in Seneca Falls. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery.
