Peggy was born in Seneca Falls at the old Seneca Falls Hospital to the late William K. and Betty Cross, Sr. She graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1972. On May 5th, 1979, she married Robert Parker; a beautiful marriage of 45 years. Peggy worked for her father and uncle at Cross Printing and then for her father as a tax preparer at Cross Tax Service for many years. To know Peggy was to know selflessness because she truly lived for others. She loved to take care of her family and was always present for her children growing up, as well as for her grandchildren later in life. She always extended herself to babysit for family and neighbors, something she truly enjoyed. She really enjoyed being involved with school and community events but doing so from the background so as to not take away from the cause she was supporting. Her clerical work history helped her to stay organized and task driven, which carried over to her volunteer duties as well.
Peggy was a huge fan of the NY Mets and the NY Giants, and always found time to watch her soap operas. She liked to stay mentally engaged and loved doing crossword puzzles and word searches, which her grandchildren referred to as "nonnies puzzles."
Peggy is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Roberta (Oscar) Yuan; son, Jason; grandsons, Logan and Liam; brother, William (Kathy) Cross Jr.; mother-in-law, Mona Messecar; brothers and sister-in-law, Harold (Alison) Messecar, Joe Parker, Michele (Jim) Buck; lifelong best friend, Patty; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, Harold Messecar.
