Seneca Falls - Margie B. Lama, 84, formerly of Swaby St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday (May 31, 2017) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY. Family and friends may attend Margie's Memorial Prayer Service on Monday (June 5) at 4 PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St, Seneca Falls, NY. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Margie was born in Syracuse, NY on September 27, 1932 the daughter of the late Paul & Grace Waldon Sutton. She had resided in Seneca Falls since 1950, moving from Union Springs, NY. She had worked as a cashier at the former Loblaws of Seneca Falls. She, also, had been employed by the Pick-Quick, the IGA, & the Seneca Falls Central School Lunch Program. Margie loved to crochet and to knit in her free time. She enjoyed the art of baking, something she excelled at. She, also, enjoyed gardening and having family and friends over to the house on weekends for get-togethers. She is survived by: Her husband, Joseph J. Lama of Seneca Falls whom she married on September 13, 1954 2 daughters - Cathy (Steven) Turkett - Seneca Falls, NY Laurie (Jack) Price - Waterloo, NY 4 grandchildren - David (Amanda) Turkett, Brian (Anna) Turkett, Amanda (Steve) Brown, & Adam Conley. 1 great granddaughter - Eva Turkett 2 sisters - Mina Burgeson - Clifton Springs, NY Melba Rice - Waterloo, NY Several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, Margie was predeceased by 1 brother, Lowell Sutton & 3 sisters, Gretchen Senisi, Bernice Anderson, & Lila Marris.
