Martin "Marty" Luffman

Seneca Falls - Martin "Marty" L. Luffman, 65 of Doland, South Dakota, formerly of Seneca Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (July 4, 2018) in Doland, SD surrounded by his two daughters and ex-wife. A celebration of Marty's life will be held on Sunday (July 15, 2018) beginning at 1:30 PM at Kuneytown Sportsman's Club, 3735 N. Hoster Rd., Seneca Falls, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. Marty was born June 13, 1953 in Seneca Falls, NY to Charles & Margaret (Dutton) Luffman. He spent his childhood living on the farm in Seneca Falls and graduated from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls. He married Bonnie White on July 14, 1973 in Waterloo, NY and to this union two daughters were born. The family lived in Clarksville, TN, Waterloo, NY, & Seneca Falls, NY before moving to Doland, SD. Marty honorably served with the US Army for three years prior to working at the Seneca Army Depot for 20 years. He also worked at By Pork for 11 years and then at the R-Bar & Lounge for 7 years before retiring, both in Doland, SD. He loved gardening, car races, football, & his dog. Marty is survived by his loving daughters: Tanya (Marcelino) Zuniga of Bryant, SD and Marie (Troy) Heer of Doland, SD; grandchildren: Kayla Van Sickle of Sioux Falls, SD, Tyler Luffman Sanger of Bryant, SD., Tobie Becker & Jesse Heer, both of Doland, SD, & Damian Zuniga & Tatiana Zuniga, both of Bryant, SD. He is also survived by his siblings: Guy (Dorothy) Luffman & Charles (Nancy) Luffman, both of Seneca Falls, NY, Judson (Robin) Luffman, Waterloo, NY, Donald (Tammy) Luffman & Wesley (Gloria) Luffman of Seneca Falls, NY, John (Judy) Luffman of Hamburg, NY & Tammy (Scott) Ridley of Seneca Falls, NY; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, twin brothers, grandparents: Judson & Margaret Dutton & Ernest & Marion Luffman, nephew, Edwin Luffman, & granddaughter, Alexander Becker.
