Mary Ann (Lombardo) DeRaddo

Mary Ann DeRaddo Seneca Falls - Our beloved beautiful mother, Mary Ann Elizabeth (Lombardo) DeRaddo, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2016, at home surrounded by her family, in Anaheim, California. Mary's Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Seneca Falls, New York on Saturday (November 5, 2016) at 10:00 a.m. Mary's interment will be immediately following at St. Columbkille Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her parents. There will be no prior calling hours. Mary was born in Seneca Falls, New York on May 25, 1930. She was the eldest daughter of Gabriel and Mary Lombardo. Mary was proud to be first woman factory worker hired (circa 1949) to work at the Sylvania plant in Seneca Falls. In 1954 she married Anthony P. DeRaddo (of Waterloo) and relocated to Southern California. She lived in Anaheim, California with her husband and four children for most of her adult life. Mary is survived by her children, Toni DeRaddo (Al Rever), Stephanie DeRaddo (Armando Barzaghi), Stephen DeRaddo, and her faithful Jack Russell Terrier, Cooper. Mary's youngest son, Michael A. DeRaddo, predeceased her in 2007. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean T. Whitehead, Melissa A. Whitehead and Edward E. Ernst-DeRaddo, and her siblings: Theresa Rossi (John), Annie Rutz, Bridget Parete, Bruno Lombardo (Florence), Patricia DeSanto (John), and Gabriel Lombardo (Beverly), as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. Mary was loved and adored by all who knew her and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, her wonderful laugh, her selfless love, her kindness, her generosity, and her cooking and baking. She was a truly gifted cook and baker and hosted countless gatherings for family and friends to come together to share delicious foods and good times with one another. She was blessed with a wonderful family and a large circle of close friends which friendships endured her entire life. She was a faithful servant of our Lord, a living example of His love, and used every opportunity to share His Word and love with everyone.
