Mary was born in Seneca Falls, N.Y., on May 20, 1927 and was the daughter of the Late Sylvester and Caroline Lippa Faiola. In her early years, Mary lived in Ohio and worked as a waitress in various restaurants, before moving back to Seneca Falls, where she has resided for the past 30+ years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. Mary was a great cook who loved and took tremendous pride in cooking meals for her family, friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed and was well known for her Christmas cut-out cookies, which she would also graciously share with so many family and friends. During the years of the Desert Storm Gulf War, Mary sent hundreds of dozens of cookies, to our troops serving overseas. Mary was a beloved Aunt and Great Aunt whose home was decorated with the photographs and artwork of her many nieces and nephews. Even those that knew Mary but may not have been related to her, often referred to her as "Aunt Mary" because of her warm, gracious and caring heart for young children. She is survived by three brothers Louis (Mary Lynn) Faiola, Florida, Benny (Ann) Faiola, Seneca Falls, N.Y., Sylvester (Elisa) Faiola, Jr., Seneca Falls, N.Y.; two sisters Agnes (Angelo) Bonafiglia, Seneca Falls, N.Y., Phyllis (Wally) Winters, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; many friends.
