Mary Lee (Poole) Miller

Seneca Falls - Mary Lee Miller, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Seneca Falls, NY, on September 5, 2022.

Family and friends may call from 10 AM to 12 NOON on Friday, September 16th at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard Street in Seneca Falls. A Funeral Service will follow starting at 12 NOON at the funeral home. Burial will then follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. Mary Lee was born on September 23, 1939, in Seneca Falls; the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Holland) Poole. After attending St. Patrick's School, she graduated from Mynderse Academy in 1957 in Seneca Falls. She was employed by Sylvania Electric Products in Seneca Falls, Cornell University's athletic department in Ithaca, NY and later, Miller & Miller Attorneys-at-Law in Seneca Falls. Mary Lee lived most of her life in Seneca Falls and she enjoyed playing bridge, golf, bocce and was an avid walker.

Mary Lee was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She was married to Stuart O. Miller for nearly 50 years, until his passing in 2010. Together they raised one daughter, Karen Lee (Kevin Barbay) Miller, Romulus; two sons, David E. Miller, Reston, VA; Robert J. (Erin) Miller, Tega Cay, SC; and five grandchildren; Annika Miller, Olivia Miller, Colin Miller, Holden Miller and Libby Barbay.

Mary Lee was predeceased by her two sisters, Aileen Staudmyer of Rome, NY and Jane Hanlin of Seneca Falls and her brother Joseph L. Poole of Seneca Falls. She is survived by one sister-in-law Martha (Clark) Strickland, Denver, CO; two brothers-in-law, Henry (Fereshteh) Miller, Martinez, CA; and Bradford (Lynn) Miller, Rochester, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
