Marylouise T. (Vallone) Scalzo, 79, of Seneca Falls, passed at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday, September 14th, 2025. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th from 11AM until 1PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
Marylouise was born in Frankfort, NY, the daughter of the late Vito and Theresa (Gonzalez) Vallone. She graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler Central School, and followed her heart, continuing her education in healthcare. On August 3rd, 1968, she was united in marriage with Dana P. Scalzo, a blessed day for the couple, who recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. The couple lived in Liverpool, NY, and Marylouise had worked for Crouse Irving Hospital in Syracuse as a childcare technician, and later as a dental assistant for Dr. Smorol in North Syracuse. In 1985, the couple relocated to Seneca Falls and Marylouise stayed home to help raise her family. Once her sons got older, she started working at Mynderse Academy where she worked for many years as a study hall monitor.
For anybody that knew Marylouise, knew her love of family. She loved getting everybody together to celebrate, whether it was a birthday party, Sunday dinner, or her all time favorite, Christmas, Marylouise greeted you with open arms and made sure you had plenty of food to eat. Outside of family, Marylouise loved to collect Precious Moments figurines and crystal birds.
Marylouise is survived by her beloved husband, Dana P.; son, Dana A. Scalzo; grandchildren, Jaden and Gianna Scalzo; brother, Thomas Vallone; sister, Phyllis (Joseph) Karam; brothers-in-law, Gerald Egerbrecht and Mathew (Mary) Scalzo; nieces and nephews, Jason (Lisa) Egerbrecht, Jill (Patrick) Coulson, Julie (Nate) Nolet, Michael Vallone, Joseph Karam, Theresa (Raymond) Renzo, Gia Vallone, and Justin Vallone.
