Waterloo - Melvin C. Lewis, 76, of E. Wright Ave., Waterloo, NY, passed away Friday (October 7, 2016) at Unity Hospital, Rochester, NY. Family and friends may attend Melvin's Graveside Services on Thursday (October 13) at 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, River Road, Waterloo, NY 13165. Melvin was born in Wayland, NY on May 11, 1940 the son of the late William and Eleanor Sharpe Lewis. He had resided in Waterloo for most of his life. He was retired from Kodak of Rochester, NY. Melvin loved working on cars, especially his "Funny Car". He enjoyed camping and NASCAR. His pride and joy was his daughter, Jennifer and he also loved his dogs Sawyer & Bella. Melvin is survived by: His daughter - Jennifer Lewis - Waterloo, NY His step-mother - Ruth Lewis - Penn Yan, NY His Uncle - Paul Hynes - Dansville, NY In addition to his parents, Melvin was predeceased by his wife, Anna Vitti Lewis who died April 26, 2015, his sister, Connie Bailey, & his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Anthony & Mary Vitti.
