Seneca Falls - Nancy J. Bradley, 66, of Washington St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Monday (February 2, 2015) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY on Friday (February 6) from 4 - 7 PM. A Memorial Service for Nancy will be held on Saturday (February 7) at 1 PM at First United Methodist Church, 2 Chapel St., Seneca Falls, NY with Reverend Sue Hadley, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to House of Concern, 35 State St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148 or to the Backpack Program, c/o First United Methodist Church, 2 Chapel St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148 Nancy was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on April 3, 1948 the daughter of the late Edwin & Evelyn Petersen Elder. She was a graduate of Syracuse University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Botany. She has resided in Seneca Falls since 1989, moving from Syracuse, NY. She was employed as at Medical Technologist at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY and previously as a Medical Technologists at Community General Hospital, Syracuse, NY. Nancy was a member of First United Methodist Church, Seneca Falls where she was a former superintendent of the Sunday School, past member of her church choir, and active in her church's cookie sales and backpack program. She was a world traveler who crossed the international dateline and became a member of the "Domain of the Golden Dragon". She was very artistic and enjoyed scrapbooking, cookie making and gardening. She was active in the Knitting Club at the Seneca Falls Library and had helped with the Vacation Bible School Program at Calvary Lutheran Church, Waterloo, NY. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was one who loved music, especially classical music and religious hymns. One of Nancy's greatest joys was being "Oba" to her 5 grandchildren. She is survived by: Her husband, Joe L. Bradley of Seneca Falls, NY whom she married on June 23, 1979 1 daughter - Shamien (Andy) Jansen - Kingston, NY 1 son - Brenten (Amanda) Bradley - Pensacola, Florida 5 grandchildren - Ethan & Melia Jansen, Caden, Devin, & Eden Bradley 3 sisters - Terri Elder - Iowa Susan (Michael) Hall - Nebraska Sally (Gary) Teeman - Kansas 1 step-brother - Randy Jones - Iowa Several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her step-mother, Adeline Roberts.
